There’s always an occasion to dress up for, it’s called life
— #everythingkrys

Whether it's a wedding or just a family dinner, it feels good to clean up every once in a while and slay together as a family. The outcome can be super cute but the process can be a little overwhelming.

Overwhelming, because I feel like there's never enough time to get ready, no matter how early I start. Between getting them dressed, doing their hair, packing the baby bag, all while making sure they are not sleepy, hungry or fighting is exhausting in itself. Then, the end result is usually the kids being perfectly put together and me throwing on just about anything just to get out the door so we wont be late!

After several mommy fails, I noticed a few styling shortcuts that has made this process of getting dressed much easier for us all!

Think Ahead

Lay your looks out the night before.  It’s a cinch to get dressed when everyone’s looks are planned out in advance.

You first

Remember to put on your fashion oxygen mask on first. If you get ready first, you’ll end the days of running out of time and leaving the house not as polished as the rest of the family.

Pick a Dress

Skip the headache of trying to figure out the right top and bottom combination and just choose a dress.

If you are really short on time, go for a knit dress so you don't have to worry about wrinkles or zippers. You can literally just throw it on.

This knit dress by Cushnie et Ochs, literally does all the work for you. It's simple, chic and suitable for a range of occasions. That type of versatility is perfect for mamas on the go.

Statement Shoe

Skip the classic and pick a statement shoe to make your outfit pop. This quick choice can instantly elevate your entire look.

Pop On A Blazer

Need to turn little man's look up a notch in a split second? My go to trick is to pair whatever Lukas is wearing with quality blazer. This classic layering piece can go over a button front shirt or t-shirt to create a look that is polished and cool at the same time.

Fun Hair Accessories

I know it's not hard work making your baby girl cute, but if you're looking for a serious dose of #cutenessoverload, quickly pop an oversized bow in her hair. Bows along with other fun hair accessories are quick ways to take her cuteness to the next level!

Skip the Laces

When I'm short on time (and patience...) I make sure to pick shoes without laces for the kids. This small adjustment will add so much time and ease to your outing since you don't have to worry about tying shoelaces every 20 mins.

Each one of these time saving tricks may seem small but when you add them all together, the amount of time that you save can be huge!

Good Luck & Happy Dressing,
